How to overcome procrastination

14 Aug 2021

1. Write down what you have to do

2. Break it up into smaller tasks

3. Make a plan for how you're going to get started on one of the tasks

4. Give yourself a reward when you've accomplished your goal, so that you'll want to work more efficiently in the future and not procrastinate as much

5. Get rid of distractions - turn off your phone, close all other tabs on your computer, etcetera

6. Don't try to take care of everything at once - start with one task before moving onto the next one

Are you having trouble getting started on your work? Have you been putting off that huge project for weeks now and are frustrated because it's just piling up more quickly than you can keep up with? If this sounds like something that happens to you, then don't be afraid. You're not alone! Procrastination is a common problem that many people face every day. There are plenty of reasons why we put things off until later: some feel insecure about their abilities in the task at hand, others may find the task too daunting or time-consuming and want to avoid it altogether. But there are also ways to beat procrastination so it doesn't become an obstacle in our lives any longer. Ypu can learn many techniques through our online course on NLP at www.isc.online

"If you want to be successful, you need to overcome procrastination. It's not that difficult if you follow these simple tips."

"Procrastination is one of the most common reasons people fail at their goals and dreams in life. If we are able to stop procrastinating, we can achieve so much more!"

"So what are some ways we can start overcoming this bad habit? We should set specific deadlines for ourselves and reward ourselves when they're met."

The following are 5 neuroscience tips that can be applied to the workplace as well. If you’re struggling with procrastination, try these five steps:

1) write down what needs to get done

2) break this list of tasks into smaller pieces

3) make a plan for how you will start tackling one of your more daunting tasks

4) reward yourself when you accomplish something on your new task list and don't give up too easily- it'll help keep you motivated in the future

 5) get rid of distractions by turning off cell phones, closing all other tabs on your computer or taking a walk outside.  Join an online course at www.isc.online

It can be hard to motivate yourself to take on tasks that seem overwhelming or time-consuming. But by breaking them up into smaller, more manageable pieces and making a plan for how you’re going to get started on one of the tasks at a time, it becomes much easier! Plus when you reward your efforts with something like taking a break from work after accomplishing your goal, you're less likely to procrastinate in future because the act of working has been shown as rewarding enough. One way is by eliminating distractions - turning off your phone and closing any other tabs on your computer so that they don't tempt you away from what needs to be done now. We know this can sound daunting but we want to help make things easier.

With a little bit of planning and some psychological tricks, you can make sure to not procrastinate on your tasks. Not only will it help with your productivity levels in the future, but it'll also give you more time for fun activities (not just work). If this sounds like something that could be beneficial to you or someone else who needs a boost in their daily routine, we recommend checking out our online course on NLP program at www.isc.online ! It's free so there's no reason not to take advantage of all this information now!
